About Kai Ren

Kai Ren was going to be a painter. Raised in South Korea on piano from the age of six and an arts-focused education, she expected a life in the arts until her family immigrated to America, where she discovered a gift she had never gone looking for: mathematics. The painter became an engineer. She earned a master's in electrical engineering and an MBA from Wharton, spent about twenty-five years as a civilian program manager with the U.S. Navy leading radar and sensor programs, and later served as COO and CFO of her family's contracting business. She writes practical, plain-English guides that put AI to work in real family life, where the engineer's systems finally meet the artist's voice.
